How do your teams function?

Team Assessment

As a team assessor, I play a crucial role in guiding the team on their path to success and improving their performance and cooperation.

When conducting a Team Assessment, there are different steps and responsibilities Here is an overview of the steps I take when conducting a Team Assessment:

Preparation and scheduling

I make sure I clearly understand the purpose of the team assessment and the expectations of the client. I work with stakeholders to plan the assessment process, set the scope and gather the necessary resources.

Data collection

To thoroughly assess the team, I collect data from different sources. This includes interviews with team members, observations of team interactions, feedback from stakeholders, reviews of team results and possibly external assessments.

Use of assessment tools and models

Depending on the purpose of the assessment, I use various assessment tools and models specifically designed for team assessments. This helps standardise and objectify the assessment process.

Data analysis

I evaluate and analyse the data collected to understand the team’s strengths and weaknesses. I also identify any underlying causes of problems.

Reports and feedback

I prepare a detailed report with the findings of the team assessment. This will include strengths, challenges and recommendations. I provide feedback to the team and stakeholders to make them aware of the results and possible ways to improve performance.

Implementation of improvements

Together with the team, I draw up an action plan aimed at addressing the identified areas for improvement. I offer support and guidance while implementing the action plan.

Evaluation and follow-up

I evaluate the team’s progress after implementing the improvements. I monitor the impact of the changes and offer further guidance if necessary.

Continuous learning and development

Team assessment is an iterative process. I learn from each assessment and, if necessary, adapt my approach for future assessments.
